3 – sleeping headcanon

– contrary to popular belief, sirius is not lazy. 
– he might come across as such, but the whole “i dont care about anything so im not going to put in any effort” thing is just an act. a defence mechanism, really. 
– he spends as little time asleep or in bed as he possibly can, and always wakes up at the crack of dawn, hours before everyone else (they all low key hate him for it because he likes to shower at 5am and sing queen songs really loudly while he’s at it).
– out of all the marauders, sirius is definitely the lightest sleeper, and wakes up at the slightest of noises. 
– as well as this, he has nightmares most nights and so doesn’t sleep much anyway. he’s one of those people that can run on no sleep at all, therefore no one would guess that some nights he doesn’t sleep at all.
– remus on the other hand could (and definitely would) sleep for centuries on end if he was allowed to, so when he and sirius are sharing a bed, sirius is more than happy to lay there for hours in silence until remus wakes up :’)
