i saw a post complaining that sirius black was always portrayed as an overexcited 12 years old girl when he was at hogwarts, but i feel like it makes perfect sense with his past.

he was never allowed to have fun and do what he wanted at his home. when he was sorted in gryffindor, he was more free that he ever been. i think he would want to enjoy this freedom and do whatever he wants, and that includes acting like a child sometimes since he never got the chance to be one before.

also this could be his way to hide the abusive behaviour of his parents to his friends. maybe he even tried to copy the behaviour of james, the “happy and normal kid” in the group. this attitude could be both his way to hide and to heal his problems.

and when he acted like his dark and depressed self, it was usually because he couldn’t pretend anymore. it was the moments he both needed and rejected his friends.

and that is what we clearly see in the ootp : he can act like a child or a teen, mistaking harry for james, insulting him “you’re not as much like your father than i thought” ( approximative quote ).

my point is that he wasn’t a child : he had a serious bipolar disorder and his childish behaviour occured during his manic phases, leading him to be careless and make impulsive decisions.

( please keep in mind that i am not a psychiatrist and do not experience bipolar disorder. if i said anything offensive, please message me and will immediatly correct it )

  • in sixth year, sirius and remus’s favorite passtime was to make james and peter uncomfortable.
  • they just love to see their friends embarassed.
  • so obviously it all starts with sex jokes
  • even if they aren’t there yet
  • so when james innocently say that a question for a potion homework is “a really hard one”
  • remus grins and winks at his boyfriend,and add “yeah, you’re not the first one to say that today.”
  • and sirius is half laughing half trying to hide himself under the table because “gosh moony, you were suppose to be the cute and awkward one in this relationship”
  • but the jokes go on and soon all hogwarts has a list of forbidden words
  • their other fav way to embarass everyone is too always pretend they were about to shag when someone enter a room they were in
  • even if really they were just innocently chatting
  • they even hide in broom cupboards waiting for people to come in
  • now everyone knock before to get in the dorms/bathrooms/classrooms/offices and yeah, even the cupboards
  • (which padfoot and moony will be very grateful for when they will really have sex )
  • but they soon realize that it isn’t the best way to embarass everyone
  • because everyone hate to see a couple getting all soppy
  • and the Nicknames Era had begun
  • “love” and “sweetie” clearly weren’t enough for marauders
  • “sweet ray of sunshine”, “thief of my heart”, “light in the darkness” neither
  • so you could hear in the middle of the common room
  • “you are the knife to my fork” “your eyes shine more than dumbledore’s beard” “you’re sweeter than chocolate” ( “cAlm DOwN HeRE pADFoOt YoU DOn’t JOKe wITh CHOcOLate” )
  • and they say it with the most serious look so no one knew if they were kidding or not
  • ( which was the perfect cover for the soppiest couple ever )
  • basically james and peter feared every moment they would be with the two of them
  • ( and james planned his revenge for when he will finally be dating lily )

BONUS ANGST

  • after the prank, it took months to remus to finally call sirius with his petnames
  • and sirius died a little everytime remus would call by his name
  • and he cried a little when remus called him “love” again

MY STUPID ( YET AMAZING ) FRIEND THINKS THAT MOONY WOULD BE SUB AND SIRIUS DOM SO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN HER HOW IT WORKS

let’s start by this time in OOTP when remus order his furious lover to sit and he does it without even arguing. we never see sirius immediatly obeying ANYONE ELSE in the books. if that isn’t a fuckin’ clue.

and then i’ll like to remind everyone that sirius has trust issues due to his family and it would be damn beautiful to see him trusting his moony enough to allow him control over him. their relationship is all about healing the other one, so that makes perfect sense. we also know that sirius in position of control tends to fuck up ( the prank on snape ).

and then there is remus who is always afraid of hurting his friends and had been alone for his entire childhood. if he can top and allow himself to be dominant, it is because sirius makes him feel human and that’s damn beautiful too. and he also likes to have power over his life since there is this massive furry little problem he has no control on.

so I really think they tried the other way around at first ( also because sirius has more experience ) but one day they tried it this way and it was so much better.

and yes thank you tarran I know gay couples usually switch positions, but this is a fandom m’dear : things don’t work like in the boring not printed universe we unfortunately live in.

wolfstar family ( part two )

as happy remus and sirius are to now have their own little kid, they were NOT ready to face the consequences.

the first time vega wakes up crying in the middle of the night, they are so panicked they call james “IS IT SUPPOSE TO MAKE THAT SOUND ?” “boys, she’s probably just hungry or…” “MOONY, JAMES SAYS SHE’S HUNGRY ! WE NEED TO FEED HER ! DO WE EVEN HAVE BABY FOOD ?”. and they actually know the theory of what they are suppose to do, they just can’t put it in practice.

so in the end james agrees to stay with them for a week to help them. he shows them how to keep a schedule to take care of vega, how to keep an eye on her while doing something, how to calm her when she’s crying.

after the week, vega wakes up crying again and this time, they are READY. remus goes to get a baby bottle while sirius lulls her to sleep. when Remus comes back, he sees his boyfriend singing a french lullaby with the sweetest look. he feels like his knees are going weak. the fact that he has a child with the love of his life hits him suddently. he never thought, in his entire life, that he would ever have a family. that possibility went away when he was bitten. and now he has that little blond star with the most beautiful man on earth.

as sirius sees his gorgeous daughter asleep in his arms, he turns to his moony and sees that he’s crying. wordlessly, he hugs him, because by now he’s used to remus’s crisis of self depreciation. he starts to whisper about how beautiful he is and how much he loves him. finally, remus pulls away and walks to his daughter’s bed, tears still rolling down his face, and mutter “pads, I am just so, so happy.”

sirius walks to him and takes his hand. they just stay there and look at their daughter and they are the happiest parents in the world.

i was feeling fluffy and what is fluffier than these two awkard nerds taking care of their wonderful daughter ? probably more wolfstar family in coming ( i’m thinking maybe toddler vega ? or first day at school ? )

wolfstar family ( part one )

nobody dies AU

when they are around 25, remus and sirius are baby-sitting little 4-years-old harry. as they are playing a card game with him, remus looks at sirius who’s laughing at his godson’s joke, and he realizes he wants a child with this man.

of course he doesn’t say it at first, because of the whole i’m-a-werewolf-i-can’t-have-a-family-i-don’t-deserve-happiness stuff, but after a few weeks he reaches the point where he has to physically restrain himself from asking sirius.

so after a long discussion with james and lily, he finally asks sirius, nervous as hell. needless to say, padfoot immediatly agrees ( because a family with his moony is all he wants in life ).

so they have to find a mother now, and both has no idea who to ask. it’s marlene mckinnon who proposes herself because sirius is one of her best friend – and also because she hopes sirius would do the same thing for her one day. obviously sirius is the biological father because they don’t want their child to be a werewolf.

the day they learn marlene is pregnant is, by far, the best day of their lives and they celebrate for days. the next nine months are more difficult. sirius stresses about everything “moony what color should we paint their bedroom ?” “do we have enough room for their stuffs ?” “are we even responsable enough to raise a kid ?” “what if they don’t like harry ?” “are we close enough to a good school ?” “what if they are in slytherin ?” and it starts to stress remus too. james has to comfort both of them at the same time and start to regret that he ever became friend with these two.

FINALLY the house is ready – they still are in their flat in london and plan to move to a mansion when the kid will be a little bit older, maybe in godric’s hollow too. all the furnitures and stuffs are bought, and they can almost relax for the two months left. except of course they now stress about their parental skills. between two visits to marlene, they read books and ask advices to james and lily. they drive everyone crazy.

and in november, in the middle of the night, they receive a panicked phone call from marlene and they all rush to the hospital. the delivrance is long but remus somehow manages to stay calm enough to take care of both marlene and sirius – who’s running everywhere in panic. james, lily and peter are waiting outside and finally, at daybreak, a nurse announces that the baby is born.

it’s a magnificent girl with marlene’s beautiful blond hair – which looks a bit like remus’s – and big grey eyes. everyone is crying because she is so perfect and small and looks so much like her daddies. remus and sirius are the proudest persons in the world and thank marlene so much she ends up begging them to stop.

sirius insists that they call her lupin because he hates his family name anyway and he don’t want his daughter – he is still not used to the word – to be affiliated with this family. surprinsigly, he also asks remus if they can name her after a star. remus accepts and she is finally named vega lupin, after the brightest star of the lyra constellation.

remus and sirius are the happiest men in the world and vega is the most punk rock baby ever.

i really like writing this so maybe i’ll write more about her childhood and stuffs ? or even write a fanfic ? i need more wolfstar parents in my life…
