i really love fanfics where it feels like the author is kind of letting you into their universe

like discards by @picascribit where the end notes had links for news article or book recommandations based on the chapters

or this other fic where a character gave a long thoughtful monologue about buddhist believes

or the one where each chapter had a show/movie/band rec

i’ve seen some people feeling self conscious about talking about their interest through their fanfics but no! it’s sweet and interesting and i swear i discovered some cool things thanks to those! keep going, keep putting this part of yourself in your work!
