i don’t remember if there was an explanation for why peter was the secret keeper and not remus? it doesn’t matter anyway as it won’t ever make sense to me

sirius thought remus was the traitor and he was close enough to James and Lily to influence their decision

but why tho

(I’m tired and sick so Im not making a lot of sense maybe)

basically Remus was always away on missions and since he was undercover he couldnt tell anyone what he was doing? and also they knew one of the marauders was a spy and since it couldn’t be james and Sirius thought Peter was too cowardly to do it, he suspected remus
