Greyback is a metaphor for pedophiles, and more to the point, pedophiles who infect children with HIV on purpose. Which also feeds into the homosexuals are pedophiles stereotype from back in the day.

i once read an analysis that said lycantropy was a metaphor for pedophilia instead… bc those are just “instincts you try to control but can’t”… and basically saying everyone was so suspicious of remus being a teacher and hanging out with Harry bc he was an actual pedophile…

this was a published analysis as well. the author got money for saying this pedo bullshit and we on tumblr get nothing. i’m lowkey salty (but also very pissed off at that terrible analysis)
