guys, i understand that most of us are mad at jk rowling for stuffs, but please consider there is a difference between posting “the harry potter books should have had more lgbt/disabled/poc/… characters” and posting “the harry potter books needed less stupid useless plotlines and said character NEEDED a redemption arc jk”
one is based on actual struggles to see representation, the other on the mostly unfounded critique of her choices as a writer
its okay to say you would have preferred that draco got a redemption arc or that you think remus’ death wasnt needed in the plotline, and it’s okay to speak up about it! but i so often see arguments were these two kind of claims are made like they are the same level of critique and deserve the same reaction, and it makes no sense!
critizise all you want, but please be aware that some things are just choices she made as the author and are actually her own to make! you cant attack her for those!
