In Chapter 27 of Half-Blood Prince (The Lighting-Struck Tower), Greyback is said to have “pointed teeth”. I must now ask the question, does he sharpen them? Or maybe werewolves develop sharp teeth and Lupin files them down…I don’t know which is worse.

I think it’s because Fenrir has become more wolf than man at some point. Remus pushes that side of himself down. He hates being a werewolf and he refuses to let it show even the tiniest bit but Fenrir embraces it to the point where it has consumed his very being and he has indeed become less and less human over time.
