do you ever read headcanons or fanfiction and you’re like “this is really cute but also very out of character”

Oh yeah, all the time.

Part of the fun of fanfiction is seeing my favorite characters through someone else’s interpretation! For me, there are a few different ways to view characterizations:

-How a character behaves in canon

-How a character’s canon behavior would translate in a specific AU

-How a character has the potential to behave

Vary rarely do I enjoy stories that don’t fall within one of these three categories, but occasionally, the writing is so good that I’m able to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the story.
