Hi! I am learning French and I was wondering if there are any fun phrases or words to know

i’m not really sure i understand what you want, do you want idioms, words that sounds funny, expressions… ?

i’ll give an example of each for now

idiom : c’est-à-dire, literally means “that is to say” but means “my point is” or “the important message here is”

funny word : bruine, means very very light rain. the word rolls in the mouth it’s so great to say.

expression : se noyer dans un verre d’eau, “to drown in a glass of water”, means you are panicking about a simple issue, i sometimes hear it as being overwhelmed
