Hmmm… how about a wolfstar AU where Sirius was in Slytherin (because Walburga and Orion threatened to harm Regulus if he didn’t end up in the correct house or something)

so sirius is in slytherin, but that doesn’t mean he is ready to give up on his values

so when he hears that some third years are picking on the strange kid with all the scars, he will not let that go

he sees them threatening him and he comes in front of them and politely ask them to back off. and as he is a Black™ of course they listen to him

so sirius and the kid named remus become friends, and soon sirius meets remus’s dormmates. james doesn’t like him at first bc Black™ but they slowly build a connection

and they all see each other as much as they can while being in different houses and it’s beautiful.

and then when sirius is kicked out, james welcomes him all the same bc he is his best friend no matter what

but then, as he is not a Black™ anymore, the other slytherins start to threaten him

and as he is with them so often, he’s starting to get out of control

and even his three friends can’t help him, and he’s loosing himself bc of all that

regulus doesn’t dare to stand up for him, and that’s hurt the most

and the wonderful scarred boy he would like to hold in his sleep is at the other side of the castle, unable to protect sirius from the nightmares he has every night.

slytherin sirius is alone and hurt and helpless.
