look it’s the other french girl on tumblr !
( she didn’t specify but she meant wolfstar ) and i’m completely using this to write stuffs from my fic that i won’t get to include in it, mwahaha
( this is an everyone lives au btw )
- at first, they had no idea what they were supposed to do with it
- or rather, her
- they thought it was the kind of stuffs that happened only in movies, but a morning of october ( the 6th of october, actually, and they would never forget that day ) they woke up with a baby on their doorstep
- she had nothing but her cover and a card which briefly explained that her mother couldn’t raise her anymore, and hoped her baby would find a home here
- it also mentionned her name, which was cassiopeia
- so they did what anyone else would have done : panicked
- went to the potters with the child in their arms and no idea what they were supposed to do
- they weren’t sure they could keep it, being the immature weird nerdy couple they were
- but they knew that being both cis men and the wizarding world being supr homophobic, it was perhaps their only chance to have a child
- and as james pointed out, cassiopeia was the name of a constellation
- another star in their family
- so they kept her
- and they raised her
- it wasn’t easy of course. neither of them were very normal kids
- but they soon realized that cassy weren’t either
- first, she was like a cat, and never admitted when she messed up
- so she could be found with all of her soup on her baby t-shirt with a “i totally meant to do this” face
- second, she wasn’t a muggle, like they thought at first : the day after she arrived at their home, she magically broke all their plates because neither of them knew how to chance a nappy
- third, she was beautiful, even for a baby : she had dark skin with very light blue eyes and short curly black hair and look so haughty
- and finally, she is deaf, which means the marauders are learning sign language
- and they have to choose sign names, and sirius manage to choose a lightning on his face as his, to look like bowie
- remus’s is a crescent moon, because of his marauder nickname
- and cassy grew up loved and with a lot of people who care about her, wonderful parents and great godparents
- and she was witty and smart, and she always talk like she was an adult when she’s actually five
- and when she was six, frank and alice were babysitting her and they gave her some paint
- and she loved it
- from that moment, she made a least one painting a week
- by the time she was 9, she had some mad drawing skills and her room was filled with her art
- remus and sirius couldn’t be prouder
- cassy grew up loved, but she always wondered why she was abandoned in the first place
- and even if their fathers told her it wasn’t her fault, she always felt like she failed her biological parents somehow
- so she think she have to prove her worth everyday
- and she works hard for that
- so when her hogwarts letter arrive, she is proud and feels like her parents are proud of her ( even if they already are everyday )
- she’s excited because she will be with her cousin harry who’s a year older than her
- but when the sorting hat speaks, she knows her hopes have been crashed
- because for years she thought she had to be great for everyone
- and that makes her a slytherin
- remus doesn’t care, of course, but he can see that sirius is a bit disappointed
- but he’ll get over it eventually, because he loves his cassy more than anyone else in the world
- and cassy, albeit scared at first, starts to feel at home in slytherin
- soon everyone in the dungeons know BSL and uses it as a secret code
- she continues to paint, always
- she never charms her painting like the portraits of hogwarts, because is art in itself is already magic
- she commits a bit of mischief once in a while, especially since she stole the map from her dads
- she gets her first girlfriend in third year, and come out as pansexual to her family
- who obviously is supportive i mean they are a gay couple with a child
- and cassy is the best child they could ever dream of
- and they are a family
- the happiest family in the world
