okay so i am very close to my cousin and she, albeit not being a fangirl at the time, knows exactly how to be friend with a fangirl.
like, once, my fav character DIED in my manga and i called her and we spent an hour on the phone talking about it. she was asking how it happened, how the person i shipped them with reacted, and she was truly sad for me.
and another time i was upset over some real life shitty stuff and she asked me to calm down and tell me about doctor who. so i started to talk about donna and the doctor’s friendship and i felt way better.
she never underestimated the importance these things had in my life. she never made fun of me for being way too addicted to tv shows. she just understood that it helps me through life.
