“Black! Pay attention!” Moody growled as Sirius just barely blocked a hex that had been thrown at him.
Sirius’ left eye twitched in mild annoyance. He wasn’t going to have this argument again. Besides, class was nearly done. All he wanted to do was go home and unwind.
It seemed like an entire lifetime had passed before he threw himself down on the lumpy sofa in his and Remus’ flat with an exhausted groan.
“Rough day of training, love?” Remus asked, entering the living room with two steaming cups of cocoa. Sirius couldn’t help but smile.
“It wouldn’t be so bad,” He sighed, hauling himself up into a position more suitable for drinking. “If Moody would stop using that bloody name.”
Remus sat beside him and handed him one of the mugs. “Hmm..Well, Alastor is a man of habit.” He took a sip of his own drink with a soft, satisfied hum.
Sirius rolled his eyes. “It’s not that difficult a concept, Moony.” Mmmm, but Remus made the best hot chocolate. Wait, no. he was annoyed, right. “I hate my family, and I hate that name and I’m just as married as Alice and he remembers to call her Longbottom so why can’t he-”
Remus silenced him by pressing his lips firmly against his husband’s. “Sirius Orion Lupin, you’re home now. Moody’s just stuck in his ways, and he only does it to get a rise out of you and you know it.”
Sirius huffed. “Right. You’re right. Sorry. I promised not to bring work home with me.” He rested his head on Remus’ shoulder. “It’s more difficult than I thought.”
The lighter haired man gave an amused laugh. “You thought training to be an auror would be easy, did you?”
“No.,” Sirius argued. Then he sighed. “Yes? I don’t know, Moony. I guess James and I always thought everything was pretty easy. Making magical maps by the age of thirteen, animagi by fifteen…Married before twenty-”
“Oh you think married life is so easy?” Remus teased.
Sirius smiled a little and nuzzled the werewolf’s neck. “Being married to you is very easy.” He kissed the sensitive skin behind Remus’ ear. “I come home from my oh-so-tiring day of training and I have my sweet, gorgeous husband waiting with hot chocolate…doesn’t get much better than that now, does it?”
Remus shivered. “Sirius…”
“Hmm? I’m sorry…who were you speaking to..?” Sirius had begun to kiss down the other man’s neck.
“Sirius, really…” A smile tugged at Remus’ lips.
“No, Moony…say it….say my name, love…I need to hear it.” He nipped playfully at his collarbone.
Remus sighed. “Sirius Lupin…”
Sirius hummed blissfully. “I do love hearing that.” The hand not holding the mug slid up the front of Remus’ t shirt. “…Does something to me, you have no idea…”
Remus snorted and rolled his eyes. “Oh I think I have some idea…Careful, Padfoot. You’re going to spill- Ah!” Some hot liquid sloshed over the brim of Sirius’ mug into Remus’ lap. “Sirius!”
The shorter man chuckled softly and set his cocoa down on the table. “Oops…Oh my…how ever are we going to clean that up.” He was kissing further down Remus’ chest, down to his abdomen.
Remus shook his head. “’Oops’, he says….you did that on purpose, you lousy mutt…”
“Shut your mouth and enjoy. You’re covered in chocolate and your incredibly sexy husband is going to go down on you. It’s like a dream come true.”
“You think rather highly of yourself, you know.”
“Of course I do.” Sirius said matter-of-factly. “You married me, so I figure I must be something pretty special.” he popped the button on Remus’ jeans.
Remus sighed, smiling in spite of his husband’s ridiculously corny statement. “Indeed you are, Padfoot.”
